The original PID lamp used in HNU style instruments is fabricated with a VUV grade magnesium fluoride window and is filled with 99.997% pure Krypton gas. The BTEX Model offers 33% more output than the Model 103C and offers greater sensitivity to the presence of VOCs. Tests after three months of operation at 1ma and 250°C show the BTEX lamp to maintain an output as high as the average new and unused 103C lamp.
